Amtrak #33014 (Phase IV; silver, blue, red)
A must-have for many modern HO Scale Amtrak long-distance trains, the ready-to-run Kato Superliner I Lounge is based on the popular bi-level cars built beginning in 1975 to replace aging cars on western long-distance Amtrak runs. Patterned after the highly successful Santa Fe Hi-Level double-deck cars, in this case the Sky Lounge, the Superliner I fleet was introduced as Amtrak's first all-new long-distance cars. This model, based on Pullman-Standard prototypes, features appropriate trucks, an exterior finish that matches other Kato cars, interior seats, magnetic knuckle couplers and provisions doe interior lighting, sold separately.
