This is a model of a small steel industrial water tank, made of injection molded styrene with phosphor bronze guy wires. The original was built in 1904 by Chicago Bridge and Iron for the textile mill at Glencoe Village in North Carolina and is still standing. Working from the prototype, Tichy was able to create an exact reproduction right down to the overlapping steel panels on the roof with scale rivet detail and the unique angled ladder. The base is 2-3/4 inches square and the model stands 9 inches tall. Turnbuckles are included, and the tank is molded in one piece for ease of assembly. Tichy Train Group #7019. Made in USA.
